Registration is now open for MechaCon VIII. All pre-registration is available. At this time all pre-registration will be available. GoldPasses are limited to 100 registrants. The first 50 GoldPasses are now sold out and the second 50 will go on sale on January 15th at midnight (the night of the 14th).
If you are under 18 years of age, you will need to have a parent or guardian sign a Parental Consent Form in order to attend the convention. You can either download it and have it signed by a parent or guardian and bring it with you to pick up your registration packet at the convention, or you can pick one up at the convention and have a parent or guardian sign it there.

All prices shown are in U.S. dollars. No currency other than U.S. Dollars will be accepted.
Pre-registration will close on August 1, 2012. At that time, no more pre-registrations will be taken, and any transfers of passes must be complete. NO CHANGES will be made after this date.
Please be certain you wish to attend before making a pre-registration purchase. We have a NO REFUND policy.

If you are registering more than one attendee, please submit separate registration forms for ALL persons attending. Multiple membership orders WITHOUT separate registration forms for every member of your party cannot be processed. By submitting any Registration Form, you are stating that you have read all of the information provided in the registration section of www.mechacon.com and agree to the terms, rules and conditions stated therein.
(Note: No one under the age of 13 will be allowed to attend without a paid parent or legal guardian registrant accompanying him/her at all times; no one under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend without signed consent of a parent or legal guardian.)

Pre-Registration FAQ:
01. Why pre-register?
Lots of incentives. (If you have to cancel, your membership can be transferred to someone else, as long as it’s before the pre-registration deadline.) Also, we need to know how many attendees to expect in order to plan properly.
02. Why does MechaCon no longer offer a student discount?
Due to our continuing growth, we are trying to streamline the registration process. Our online registration system doesn’t offer an option for discounts, or for verifying students, and mail-in registrations must all be processed by hand. Due to our growing size, processing mail-in registrations by hand is no longer practical for us. We will, however, look into options for offering student discounts in the future.
03. If I’m under 18, do I need to have a signed parental consent to attend the convention?
Yes, if you pre-register, you will need to download the parental consent form and have a parent or guardian fill it out before you come to the convention. You must turn the consent in at the con to pick up your registration packet. If you do not bring it with you, you will need to bring your parent or guardian with you to pick up your packet and sign a consent. If you are registering at-door, a parent or guardian will need to sign a form before leaving. Parents do NOT have to wait in the registration line to sign a consent. Parents can pick up a form from the reg. form table and send it with their child to wait in the reg. line UNLESS the child is 13 or under. Children 13 and under MUST be accompanied at all times.
04. Why does MechaCon no longer offer mail-in registration?
Due to our continuing growth, we are trying to streamline the registration process. Processing such a large number of registrations by hand is very time consuming and as we grow, it becomes more and more impractical. We are here for you if you have any questions or problems with the electronic process, though. If you have any questions, please email registration@mechacon.net.
05. Notice to parents:
If you’re not staying in our hotel, please don’t leave your children here overnight without someone legally responsible for them. We are NOT a babysitting service. We also require a way to reach you in case of an emergency. You will be held responsible (legally and financially) for any damages incurred by your child or charge to hotel and/or MechaCon property. Any criminal damages and/or activity will be met with criminal charges, as well as a permanent ban from ALL future Sennin Productions, LLC events. All attendees are subject to the laws and ordinances set forth by Federal, State and City Governments.
06. Notice to students and minors:
We expect you to behave yourselves so we don’t have to call your parents. Your behavior is what’s important, not your age. You and your parent(s)/legal guardian will be held responsible (legally and financially) for damages incurred by you to hotel and/or MechaCon property. Any criminal damages and/or activity will be met with criminal charges, as well as a permanent ban from ALL future Sennin Productions, LLC events. All attendees are subject to the laws and ordinances set forth by Federal, State and City Governments.

ALL attendees are expected to conduct themselves respectably. You will be held responsible (legally and financially) for damages incurred by you to hotel and/or MechaCon property. All attendees are subject to the laws and ordinances set forth by Federal, State and City Governments.
08. Can I register at the door?
Yes. At-door memberships will be available for $20 on Friday, $30 on Saturday and $15 on Sunday ($50 for a 3-day weekend pass).
09. What methods of payment are accepted to pre-register online?
Our online system accepts credit cards, debit cards, and e-check payments.
10. What payment methods are accepted to register at-door?
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards for at-door registration.
11. Can I combine packages via up-grading?
No. Registrations are non-upgradable. Please choose the package you intend to be registered with at the time of registration. The only exception to this is that we will allow you to add a dinner seat to your registration after registering, given there are still seats available. The Opening Ceremonies and Formal / Semi-Formal Dinner costs extra (dinner is already included the fee for GoldPass registrations).
12. I intend to volunteer. Do I have to pre-register?
No. Volunteers will be handled on a day-to-day basis. Registration fees are waived for volunteers on the day they are volunteering. Each volunteer will be expected to work a minimum of 4 hours per volunteer day. Volunteers working all three days of the convention will receive an exclusive MechaCon VIII volunteer t-shirt. If you attend MechaCon on all three days and only volunteer for one or two days, you will need to pay the at-door registration fee for day(s) not volunteering.
13. How do I volunteer?

14. I’m a parent, and I’m not interested in this anime stuff. I just want to walk around with my child. Do I have to pay to get in?
Unfortunately, we have no way of discerning which adults are interested in anime, and which are not. It would be unfair of us to let parents in free and then charge the next adult anime fan that walks in the door. You need to have a badge to get in to our exhibits and events. Some events also have limited seating and the admission charged helps to pay for those events. It would just be really unfair to paying attendees. Parents are welcome to hang out outside the convention areas, but if your child is 13 or under, he/she must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Confirmation/Receipts:
Confirmation/Receipts will be emailed to you after your payment has cleared.
In order to pick up a pre-registration at the convention, you must present either a copy of your email confirmation or a valid pictured ID. You will receive a badge with your name on it when you report to the registration table and receive your registration packet. It is mandatory that you wear your badge all three days of the event.
