Ready for your MechaCon 2016 Electronic Gaming?

First up is a fantastic addition to MechaCon’s electronic gaming room… GameStop is now sponsoring our console gaming section! What does this mean for you? More new consoles! More chances to play! More free stuff! Be sure to stop by GameStop’s area inside the Electronic Gaming room for your chance for free swag, and be sure to visit their booth in our Dealer’s Room to check out all the great deals!

In addition to GameStop joining our gaming family this year, we are also partnering with Versus Gaming Company, from right here in New Orleans, to facilitate our video game tournaments! You may know them from NOLA Smash and other local gaming tournaments around the New Orleans area. They’ll be bringing experienced tournament organizers to run our tournaments, as well as helping new players learn the ropes on the tournament titles on-board for this year.

And now, the moment you hardcore gamers have been waiting for.

Super Smash Bros 4 1v1 (128 entry cap)

The Super Smash Bros 4 buy-in tournament, featuring a progressive monetary prize pot, will be taking preregistrations in the coming weeks at http://www.versus-gaming.com/. The tournament will also include power rankings, so you can expect fierce competition as the fight for the number one spot rages on over the course of the weekend!

All tournaments are run by MLG rules, so be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules before showing up!

Wondering why there are no FPS tournaments this year? Sadly, this is due to no internet access in our venue again this year. We are striving to remedy this so we can bring back FPS tournaments in the years to come. Thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime.
