Artist Alley Liaison


Working with scheduling and facilitating the needs of the Artists, Guests, and Industry in both the Artist Alley and Industry Alley areas of MechaCon.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with the Registration Coordinator prior to the convention to manage Artists and Industry exhibitors and map out Artist Alley and Industry Alley.
- Helping with set-up of Artist Alley and Industry Alley and assuring that all tables are labeled and accurately placed.
- Making sure all Artists, Guests, and Industry exhibitors are shown to their proper tables, and given a set of Artist Alley rules and regulations.
- Staying in Artist Alley during operating hours to answer questions for exhibitors, and to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
- Regularly checking tables to make sure that banned or inappropriate items are not being sold or displayed.
- Ensuring that all rules are being followed, and reporting violations to security and upper management.

Requirements: Well developed verbal communication skills, organizational skills, willingness to enforce rules in a calm but firm manner, and customer service / hospitality oriented.

Please keep in mind that all applicants will be carefully screened and interviewed by MechaCon Organizers (the owners of Sennin Productions, LLC) and by appropriate Staff Department Heads. Please also note that MechaCon is a labor of love, and that these positions are not paying positions. However, a lot of work and dedication goes into being a MechaCon Staff or Support Staff Member, and it is very rewarding. As a staff or support staff member, you would be required to work all 3 days of the convention, and help in some of the prep work that goes into putting on such a large show. Please only apply if you are willing to completely dedicate yourself to this venture.

Also, you can still be a volunteer and help at the convention, without dedicating the amount of time that it takes to be on staff. You can find out about volunteering by going to our Volunteer Page. We appreciate every single person that helps to make this convention a success, and we couldn't do it without all the generous volunteers that we get!
