Managing the schedule and needs of the guest or industry representative you have been assigned to while they appear at MechaCon.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Insuring that needs of guests are met including imperative needs and creature comforts including meals, transportation, scheduling, etc.
- Coordinating and communicating guest schedules with other convention staff.
- Following up with Guest Coordinator on on complaints, concerns, and requests of guests.
- Obtain information from Guest Coordinator regarding allergies, dietary requirements, and other special needs/preferences. And retaining this knowledge.
- Meets with Guest Coordinator to determine guest requirements and scheduling of guest events both on and off-site.
- Communicating to the guest what there schedule is and ensuring that they attend all of their events while maintaining a polite and decisive manner.

Requirements: Exceptional time management skills, well-developed verbal communication skills, desire to work in a customer-facing position dealing with convention guests and industry representatives, valid driver’s license.

Facilitates solutions to problems facing the department.

Monitors guest events in progress, reports operational and procedural problems to Floor Director and/or Special Events Coordinator, notes any damages incurred as a result of the event; assures guests arrive for events at appointed times.

Oversees attendee interaction with guests in accordance with MechaCon policy and security procedures as well as the individual guest’s comfort level.

Ensure an overall enjoyable experience for guests that furthers the positive reputation of MechaCon within the industry.

Please keep in mind that all applicants will be carefully screened and interviewed by MechaCon Organizers (the owners of Sennin Productions, LLC) and by appropriate Staff Department Heads. Please also note that MechaCon is a labor of love, and that these positions are not paying positions. However, a lot of work and dedication goes into being a MechaCon Staff or Support Staff Member, and it is very rewarding. As a staff or support staff member, you would be required to work all 3 days of the convention, and help in some of the prep work that goes into putting on such a large show. Please only apply if you are willing to completely dedicate yourself to this venture.
