Garry Chalk
Best known for his roles opposite David Kaye’s Megatron in various TRANSFORMERS television series, Garry Chalk’s resume includes a wide variety of roles in animation, television and film. Leading the valiant Autobots as Optimus Prime in TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON, ENERGON in ARMADA, Garry’s other Transformers work includes voicing the Maximal leader, Optimus Primal in BEAST WARS and BEAST MACHINES.
To fans of Science Fiction, he was most recently seen in the film WATCHMEN, where he played a Norad General advising President Nixon and Henry Kissinger. He is also highly recognizeable from his live-action role of Colonel Chekov, in the long-running hit series STARGATE: SG-1. Other performances in sci-fi include roles such as James Stillson in THE DEAD ZONE, Lt. Walter Eastep in DARK ANGEL, Detective Reid in M.A.N.T.I.S. , Silver in NINJA TURTLES: THE NEXT MUTATION and other roles in series such as SLIDERS, FIRST WAVE, THE OUTER LIMITS, THE SENTINEL, VIPER, MILLENIUM, POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY, THE COMMISH, HIGHLANDER, MACGYVER, THE HITCHHIKER, AIRWOLF and WISEGUY. He also brought life to the role of Timothy Aloysius 'Dum-Dum' Dugan in NICK FURY: AGENT OF SHIELD.
Garry’s anime and game credits include voicing the roles of Devil King in SENGOKU BASARA, Connor Penn in DRAGON BOOSTER, Guts Man in MEGA MAN, Dhalsim and Burke in STREET FIGHTER: THE ANIMATED SERIES; Chopper, Kona and Wild Willy in DOUBLE DRAGON, Grounder in THE ADVENTURES OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, King Gurumes in DRAGON BALL, and Dr. Ivo Robotnik in SONIC UNDERGROUND.
Other endeavors in animation include roles such as Bluto in POPEYE'S VOYAGE: THE QUEST FOR PAPPY, Harry the Werewolf and Bug-A-Boo in SCARY GODMOTHER, El Kolor De Kurtz and El Haystack Grande in ¡MUCHA LUCHA!, Man-At-Arms and Whiplash in the recent version of HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, Santa Claus and Bumble in RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER & THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS, and Emperor Femur in SHADOW RAIDERS. His talents can also be heard in animated series and movies such as ALIEN RACERS, WEIRD-OHS, BARBIE AS THE PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER, BARBIE OF SWAN LAKE, REBOOT, SPIDERMAN UNLIMITED, SITTING DUCKS, SABRINA THE ANIMATED SERIES, THE ANIMATED ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER, ROBOCOP: ALPHA COMMANDO, POCKET DRAGON ADVENTURES, MUMMIES ALIVE!, ACTION MAN, G.I. Not limited to only television, Garry’s talents can be found on film as well.
